Apartment builder ArchCo Residential has purchased 30 acres in Garland for a new rental community.
The project is located near the Firewheel Town Center development at Bush Turnpike and Bunker Hill Road.
Irving-based Realty Capital Management sold the property to Georgia-based ArchCo Residential.
The project called The Domain at Firewheel will have about 300 units in the first phase. Construction is to start by the second quarter of 2016.
“We have been working on this project with the City of Garland since before the President George Bush Turnpike was opened,” said Tim Coltart, Managing Director for Realty Capital said. “We are excited that ArchCo will be getting phase I under construction as soon.”
Mark Boone of Realty Capital and Andrew Prine with Stratford Land brokered the land sale.
Bluerock Residential Growth REIT Inc. will be an equity investor in the $47 million project.
